I just heard that the highspeed train from Disney to Vegas is in the "stimulus" package. AND that environmental impact studies will take at least three to five years. Now this is genius; Harry Reid is a genius. Not only does he spend money on pork, but he also gets to have government spend more money being tied down by environmental groups. The environmental groups get to have something to do, their own studies will probably be government-funded. Conclusions and recommendations of the impact studies will substantially increase the cost of a project that should not be funded by government. And who knows how many state government compliance jobs this will generate. Genius.
